Comments: Like most people in this industry, I spend my salary and save my bonus. My bonus can be erratic, but in a good year it’s £300k. I don’t want to rely on my bonus for monthly spending, though.
I live quite a modest life with my wife and young family, We don’t go out all that much, nor do we eat out much. Since having children we’ve got a bit old and boring. Our fridge contains all the normal middle class stuff – we shop at Waitrose and Sainsbury’s like everyone else.
Our main indulgence is two holidays a year – we usually go to France and Greece and have an amazing time.
Life has definitely got more expensive, but we haven’t made many changes to our lifestyle. We’re very privileged to have such a high family income.
