London credit hedge fund run by trading prodigy hired an equity derivatives PM

Arini Capital Management, founded by the former Credit Suisse trading prodigy with a passion for parrots only four years ago, manages $12bn in assets. Bloomberg reported last month that 80% of them are invested in "performing credits" and that the fund achieved a 17% return through to August. Now, Arini is strengthening its hedging team.
Arini has hired Hassan Ajakane as an equity derivatives portfolio manager from DRW in London. Ajakane, who is French, previously worked for Morgan Stanley for nearly nine years. Ajakane's team will help hedge Arini's credit exposure.
Lemssouguer is also French. So is Ardacan Celebi, Arini's head of global macro hedging.
Arini pays its 49 London staff an average of $1.3m per head. It employs around 100 globally and opened an office in Abu Dhabi in September, led by Jeysson Abergel, the former head of leveraged finance trading at BlackRock and a long term protégé of Lemssouguer. Abergel is French, too.
Arini also hired Shang Wei Ye, a catastrophe bond specialist, to manage at cat bond portfolio. Wei Ye is not from France.
