Goldman Sachs' leaky Singapore macro team leaked again

As we have said, the Singapore macro hiring market is full of people jumping around. Some are jumping from Morgan Stanley's much depleted Asian macro business. Some are jumping from Goldman Sachs's.

The latest to leave Goldman is Yvette Lim, an executive director in macro sales who was covering hedge funds and real money clients. Lin, who was promoted from associate to ED at the start of the year, is thought to be on her way to JPMorgan, where she will do something similar.

Goldman Sachs declined to comment for this article, as did JPMorgan. Lim didn't respond to a request to comment.

Goldman has lost up to six other people from its Singapore macro team this year.

They include Corneles Jaemes D'silva and Edric Lee, who are helping to fill the vacuum at Morgan Stanley and Shash Roy, who's understood to be going to Drax. Goldman's macro sales desk is now thought to be quite depleted. Another junior is said to have resigned today, and Jake Fox, a senior macro salesman is thought to be moving to London. Ash Ang, the Singapore-based head of macro sales at Goldman, is thought to be interested in new members of the team.

There are suggestions that leaping between Singapore macro jobs can result in a 40% compensation uptick this year.
