Goldman Sachs bonuses are announced Thursday. JPMorgan people must wait
It's results week for US investment banks. JPMorgan is reporting full year 2025 results tomorrow, followed by Citi and Bank of America on Wednesday, followed again by Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley on Thursday.

Full year results mean full year bonuses. Morgan Stanley already announced its bonuses last week, and they seem to have been well-received. Not all banks align bonus announcements with results, however.
Goldman Sachs insiders inform us that their bonuses are being announced this Thursday, in line with fourth quarter results (although some in Asia may be announced on Friday). At JPMorgan, however, it will be Tuesday next week (20th Jan) before people find out how much they're getting.
There's nothing unusual about this. Last year, we understand that JPMorgan waited until January 23rd to announce its bonuses. The delay could potentially allow for JPMorgan to tweak its bonuses if it discovers that rivals have underpaid.
Citi insiders tell us they're expecting bonuses to be announced on the 15th - one day after results. Bank of America bonuses are usually the last to be announced among the big banks, with Monday 26th posited as the likely date. Bank of America bonuses are rumoured to be up 20% for investment bankers this year. That may change if rivals' generosity is less lavish.
