In a new filing with the New York State Department of Labor, the deceased hedge fund says it will be laying off 79 people permanently by December 28th.

The jobs are being cut from Eisler's impressive office towards the top floor of the Spiral at 66 Hudson Yards. The office is presumably being vacated. Eisler only occupied it recently, despite the poor performance of its investments.

Eisler announced plans to wind down its business in September and intimated that portfolio manager talent had simply become unaffordable. Insiders in London say the firm offered some generous severance packages when it let people go last week.

Some of Eisler's New York staff are already appearing elsewhere. Walleye hired Greg Bugaj, a portfolio manager. Point72 hired Andrew Benito, Eisler's head of research.
