Citi hired a lev fin guy from Deutsche Bank and now he is moving on
Last week we wrote that Rob Cascarino, a former JPMorgan colleague of Vis Raghavan at Citi, had left Citi and was cantering off to PJT. Cascarino only arrived at Citi in October 2025 and was the bank's co-head of UK and EMEA debt capital markets (DCM), so this was a surprise. Now, someone else in DCM is leaving too, but it is less of a sensation.

Citi declined to comment, but we understand that Jenner Kizer in Citi's London leveraged finance syndicate team is moving on. Kizer joined Citi from Deutsche Bank in 2022. He is understood to be going to the London office of Platinum Equity, a California-based firm that invests in private equity and private credit.
Kizer didn't respond to a request to comment on his exit or his motivations. He had 10 years' experience when he joined Citi as a director in 2022, and had worked at the bank for four years without being promoted to managing director (MD) during that time.
Kizer's exit is thought to be unrelated to Cascarino's exit. However, Cascarino's brief time at Citi is thought to have coincided with changes to the structure of the DCM team which have meant that DCM syndicate bankers have less influence than DCM origination bankers in the hierarchy.
Citi's DCM business has experienced various exits in the past few years but it has also performed well and ranked third by revenues in the first half. This is thought to be the result of the team's strong associates, VPs and directors - like Kizer.
