Standard Chartered has named Singapore-based Jocelyn Tan as global head of transaction banking FX (TBFX) as it steps up collaboration between transaction banking (TB) and financial markets (FM).
Tan, who has been with the bank since 2017, is managing a team to “drive FX cross-sell” by leveraging transaction banking flows across the corporate, commercial and institutional bank (CCIB), according to her LinkedIn profile. Standard Chartered was not able to respond in time to comment.
While Tan is an internal appointee, her current role was recently advertised externally. She is responsible for the “growth of TBFX revenue (cash and trade linked FX) across transaction banking and financial markets” and for creating “new ways of collaboration” between TB and FM, according to the job description of her role.
She also has to “lead a team of TBFX product specialists to drive continued product enhancements, key client conversations and co-create product solutions for high touch high value clients”. Other tasks include partnering with “TB sales, FM sales and technology to ensure consistency of the TBFX offering across the CCIB franchise”.
Tan joined Stan Chart as an executive director, ecommerce sales, following a career of more than 10 years at Citi, where she latterly worked in Asian eFX sales.
