Job Objectives
Efficiently manage and optimize the purchasing and procurement processes which includes sourcing and selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards. Responsible for strategic planning, cost analysis, supplier evaluation, and risk management to achieve the organization's procurement goals and objectives.
Individual Responsibilities:
• Focus on maximizing value for the organization by spending wisely, promoting an expense mindset, and championing expenses saving initiatives.
• Oversee and manage the operation and process of centralized procurement for the company, and conduct regular training and awareness to all stakeholders, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Establish and maintain a robust governance framework to ensure transparency and compliance in all procurement operations, systems, and processes.
• Continuously evaluating and improving procurement processes, systems, and tools to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
• Partner with business leaders in ensuring sourcing process is in accordance with Procurement policy and guidelines and other relevant requirement which include reviewing Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Quotations (RFQ) and evaluations.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and monitoring their performance to ensure high-quality products and services are delivered.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs, forecasting demand, and developing procurement plans to meet business objectives.
• Overseeing contract administration, including contract negotiation, renewal, and compliance, while mitigating risks associated with vendor contracts.
• Conducting cost analysis and market research to identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize supplier selection, and negotiate favourable terms and pricing.
• Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and company policies throughout the procurement process, while mitigating potential risks.
• Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess procurement performance, supplier performance, and identify areas for improvement.
• Accountable for revising and maintaining the Procurement Strategy & Governance Framework, including policies and procedures.
• Managing a procurement team, including recruitment, training, and development, to ensure efficient and effective procurement operations.
• Maintaining procurement system to ensure smoother end-to-end procurement exercises.
Education/Academic Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as business administration, audit, supply chain management, logistics, or procurement.
• At least 3 - 5 years working experience; preferably procurement-related areas.
Functional knowledge/Technical Skills:
• A solid understanding of the end-to-end procurement process, including demand analysis, vendor selection, negotiation, contract management, purchasing, and supplier relationship management.
• Ability to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct supplier assessments, negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and monitor vendor performance.
• Proficiency in conducting cost analysis, price negotiation, and implementing cost-saving strategies.
