Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking a Cash Equities Operations Associate to join its Operations team. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in cash equities settlements, securities operations, custody, or trade support who are looking to further develop within a dynamic international environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Support and oversee cash equities settlement activities across APAC markets
2. Monitor and investigate settlement discrepancies, trade exceptions, and operational risks
3. Perform reconciliation, cash management, and post-trade control activities
4. Prepare operational reporting and key risk metrics
5. Work closely with internal stakeholders, offshore teams, and external service providers
6. Drive process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives
7. Participate in business change and transformation projects

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
2. 5+ years of experience in Cash Equities Operations, Settlements, Securities Operations, Custody, or Trade Support
3. Strong understanding of the equities trade lifecycle and settlement processes
4. Experience in reconciliations, exception management, and operational controls
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
6. Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
7. Fluent in English and Cantonese

Preferred:

1. Experience within investment banking, brokerage, or custody environments
2. Knowledge of asset servicing, payments, and settlement flows
3. Exposure to automation, data analytics, Python, Alteryx, VBA, or AI tools
4. Experience working with regional or offshore operations teams
