Top-performing Tier-1 automotive supplier motivated to hire / Process Engineer for their team south of Indianapolis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and support cross functional teams to support all aspects of new launch activities including but not limited to:
  • Assisting in customer sales quotes activities in regard to internal investments for new projects,
  • Budget creation & control, assist in the developing equipment and process flow designs that meet customer product line requirements,
  • Create RFQ documentation to quote required equipment to outside venders,
  • Manage required documentation involving standard APQP & PPAP processes, communicate with customer and supplier contacts,
  • And regularly report out project status to all levels of management team.
• Support production and quality departments in root cause analysis, production issue resolution, and continuous improvement activities for existing production lines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong program management skills required with ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
• Background in or Robotic strongly preferred, or other highly automated manufacturing processes
• Degree of equivalent work experience within an engineering or industrial automation field a must
• Strong communication skills required, ability to communicate with members from all levels within the organization and with customers clearly and effectively both verbally and electronically
• Ability to be self-motivated & work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to travel to supplier and customer locations as requires, overnight stays sometimes required (low travel %)
