Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Director to join a leading global investment bank's Equity Research platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing differentiated investment research, providing thought leadership across their sector coverage, and developing strong relationships with institutional investors, management teams, and internal stakeholders.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key role in one of the firm's flagship research franchises, contributing to both client engagement and broader commercial objectives across the investment banking and markets platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead coverage of a portfolio of publicly listed companies within a designated sector.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models, industry analysis, and company forecasts.
• Produce high-quality research reports, thematic pieces, and investment recommendations for institutional clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior management teams, industry participants, and buy-side investors.
• Provide investment insights to institutional investors through meetings, conferences, roadshows, and market commentary.
• Identify key industry trends, strategic developments, and market dislocations that may impact covered companies.
• Collaborate closely with Investment Banking, Sales & Trading, and Capital Markets teams while maintaining research independence.
• Represent the franchise externally at conferences, client events, and industry forums.
• Mentor and develop junior analysts and associates within the research team.
• Contribute to the commercial growth of the research platform through exceptional client service and market expertise.

Candidate Requirements

• Significant Equity Research experience gained within a bulge bracket bank, leading independent research firm, or other top-tier financial institution.
• Deep expertise within a sector such as Industrials, Healthcare, Technology, Consumer, FIG, Energy, Utilities, or Business Services.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities.
• Proven track record of publishing high-quality research and generating meaningful client engagement.
• Established relationships across institutional investors, corporate management teams, and broader market participants.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercially minded with the ability to identify and develop business opportunities.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring junior professionals.
• Bachelor's degree required; CFA or equivalent qualification preferred.
