This Corporate Tax Senior Manager opportunity in Guildford offers the scope to lead complex client work, develop a talented tax team and contribute to the continued growth of an established Corporate Tax practice.



Fletcher George is recruiting for a leading accountancy firm which is looking for an experienced corporate tax professional to take ownership of complex compliance and advisory engagements, lead important client relationships and work closely with Partners and Directors across the business.



The role would suit an established Corporate Tax Senior Manager or a strong Corporate Tax Manager who is ready for greater responsibility and influence.




The Role



As Corporate Tax Senior Manager, you will oversee a varied portfolio and lead the delivery of complex corporate tax assignments. You will act as a trusted adviser to clients while helping to maintain high technical standards and develop the wider team.



Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading complex corporate tax compliance and advisory engagements


• Reviewing tax computations, returns and technical advisory work


• Providing strategic corporate tax planning advice


• Acting as a senior point of contact for clients and professional advisers


• Leading client meetings and communicating complex matters clearly


• Identifying the impact of legislative and regulatory developments


• Managing workflow, resources, budgets and statutory deadlines


• Working collaboratively with colleagues across other specialist service lines


• Coaching and mentoring Managers and more junior tax professionals


• Supporting the professional development and performance of the team


• Promoting the effective use of tax technology and improved working practices


• Identifying opportunities to provide additional support and services to clients


• Developing relationships with external professional contacts and referrers


• Contributing to the growth and strategic direction of the Corporate Tax practice

About You



You will have developed substantial Corporate Tax experience within an accountancy practice or professional services environment and be comfortable leading technically complex assignments with limited Partner or Director input.



You are likely to offer:

• Strong UK Corporate Tax experience gained within accountancy practice


• Experience managing complex compliance and advisory engagements


• Excellent technical knowledge of UK corporate tax


• The ability to review work and provide clear, constructive feedback


• Experience managing, coaching and developing tax professionals


• Confident client relationship and stakeholder management skills


• Commercial awareness and an interest in business development


• Strong judgement and an appropriate approach to tax risk and ethics


• An accountancy or tax qualification such as CTA, ACA, ACCA, CA or ATT, or equivalent experience

The position is permanent and full time, based in Guildford, Surrey, with hybrid working and a salary of £80,000-£110,000, depending on experience with an excellent suite of benefits.
