A leading consumer brands business is seeking a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join its UK Legal team on a 12-month fixed-term contract commencing in September. This is a broad, business-facing role offering exposure to commercial contracts, marketing, advertising, consumer law, intellectual property, data protection and strategic business projects.




Role overview

• Provide pragmatic legal advice across a broad range of commercial matters.

Key responsibilities



• Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including technology, procurement, marketing and supply chain contracts.



• Provide legal support on advertising, marketing and promotional campaigns.



• Advise on intellectual property, brand protection and general commercial matters.



• Support the business on data protection and privacy issues.



• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.



• Assist with legal training, compliance initiatives and business projects.




Candidate profile



• Qualified solicitor with approximately 3-6 years' PQE.



• Strong commercial contracts experience gained in private practice and/or in-house.



• Commercially focused, solutions-driven and confident advising senior stakeholders.



• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, business-facing environment.



• Previous experience in retail, FMCG, consumer products, technology or procurement-related matters would be advantageous.
