VCA's core client segments include issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, payment enablers and governments.
Job Description
Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) teams are focused in helping key clients that include global banks and retailers and other merchants, as well as local FinTech's and governments. Our goal is to help clients solve strategic payment challenges and identify opportunities by supporting in benchmarking, ideation, definition, implementation, and monitoring of recommendations. This results in our clients receiving end-to-end support that helps them achieve scale, competitive advantage, and speed to market in the digital age.
Exemplary projects:
- How can a retail bank drive activation and usage of payment solutions (e.g., cards) in specific customer segments?
- How can an airline build and enhance its payment value proposition for consumers and/or small businesses?
- How can a credit card issuer use emerging technologies like open banking to acquire new customers?
- How can an acquirer or merchant better understand customer loyalty?
VCA engages clients throughout Europe and is organised in teams within, UK & Ireland, South Europe, Nordics & Baltics, Central Eastern Europe, and Central Europe. The position is to join our Global Graduate programme within the Southern Europe cluster and is based in Portugal, Lisbon.
Day to day responsibilities of a Consulting Graduate:
- Help drive business insights with data gathering and market trend analysis using Visa's powerful data analytics capabilities.
- Support the VCA team in the delivery of projects for Visa clients across various domains, from payments, digital, products to strategy, including project management.
- Co-lead strategy to market activities including but not limited to workshops, client meetings, content development etc.
- Complete detailed analysis on client data and identify preliminary trends and themes in the data with some guidance.
- Conduct market research and data analysis to identify insights in the payment industry.
- Support senior consultants in developing and delivering high-quality advisory solutions to clients, such as business strategy, product development & pricing, customer segmentation and customer experience improvement.
Visa's Graduate Programme:

Qualifications
- Graduated in 2026 or graduating summer 2027 - ready start the role on September 7th 2027.
- Permanent authorisation to work in the U.K is a precondition of employment for this position. Home Office sponsorship requirement mean that Visa will not be in a position to sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position. Future sponsorship will not be considered.
- Effective communication skills.
