Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Risk Leadership

• Lead a portfolio of Business Risk & Control Management activities across assigned business areas.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders on risk management, governance and control matters.
• Provide independent challenge while enabling business growth and strategic initiatives.
• Forster a strong risk culture and promote ownership of risks and controls across the organisation.

Risk Governance & Control

• Oversee the design, implementation and continuous enhancement of the risk and control framework.
• Review and challenge risk assessments, control design and remediation plans.
• Ensure emerging risks are identified, assessed and appropriately managed.
• Drive consistency in the application of risk management standards across the region.

Transformation & Innovation

• Drive strategic initiatives to modernize the risk management function through process redesign, automation and technology.
• Champion the adoption of data analytics, AL and digital capabilities within GCD.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes while improving risk outcomes.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience in banking, financial services, consulting or risk management.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing sizeable risk portfolios and leading teams.
• Strong understanding of operational risk, controls, governance and assurance frameworks.
• Good appreciation of data analytics, AI and digital technologies, and how they can be applied to enhance risk management.
