The Company
Our client is an established leader with a diversified portfolio of businesses and investments in the Energy and Commodities space across Asia. As part of their continued growth and strategic expansion, they are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to support the Group.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in supporting strategic initiatives across the Group, including project financing, financial modelling, valuation, treasury management, and group consolidation. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, financial institutions, investors, and external advisors to drive business growth and value creation.

Key Responsibilities

Group Consolidation

• Manage the Group consolidation process across subsidiaries, associates, and joint ventures.
• Review consolidation adjustments, intercompany eliminations, and ensure consistency of financial information across the Group.
• Support month-end and year-end consolidation activities and analysis for management and board reporting purposes.
• Liaise with auditors and finance teams across business units on consolidation-related matters.

Corporate Finance, Valuation & Financial Modelling

• Develop and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate investments, acquisitions, divestments, and strategic projects.
• Perform business and asset valuations using methodologies such as discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis.
• Conduct financial due diligence and investment appraisal for potential opportunities.
• Prepare sensitivity analyses, scenario planning, and financial assessments to support management decision-making.
• Evaluate financing structures and capital allocation strategies to optimise shareholder value.

Project Financing & Treasury

• Lead and support project financing transactions from structuring through execution and financial close.
• Prepare project finance models, feasibility studies, and lender presentations.
• Engage with banks, financial institutions, investors, legal counsel, and external advisors on financing arrangements.
• Support negotiations of financing terms, review financing documentation, and coordinate transaction execution.
• Monitor financing covenants, funding requirements, drawdowns, and lender reporting obligations.
• Manage treasury activities, including cash and liquidity management, working capital optimisation, and banking relationships.

Strategic Projects

• Support mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic investments, and capital raising initiatives.
• Prepare investment papers and recommendations for senior management and the Board.
• Participate in special projects relating to business expansion, restructuring, and corporate development initiatives.
• Provide commercial and financial insights to support strategic planning and growth initiatives.

Your Profile

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following relevant skills sets and experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as CA Singapore, CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, project finance, valuations, investments, transaction services, or finance management.
• Proven experience in:
• Group consolidation;
• Financial modelling and valuation;
• Project financing and debt structuring;
• Treasury and banking relationships.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with experience building complex business and project finance models.
• Experience working with banks, financial institutions, investors, auditors, and professional advisors.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Experience within an SGX-listed company, multinational group or project-based industry would be advantageous.
