Your role

Do you have an analytic mindset? Are you ready to dive into the dynamic world of risk management and control at a large international investment and wealth management bank? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a curiosity for understanding how models and artificial intelligence (AI) systems align with regulatory standards and industry best practice? For our Model Risk Management & Control (MRMC) U.S. Internship Program we are looking for people like you, who can help us in transforming model risk governance and reporting:
• Learn how to analyze data by observing and participating in activities focused on reviewing metrics and developing summaries under close guidance
• Explore process improvement concepts by engaging in project-based activities involving automation and AI/visualization tools
• Develop an understanding of policies and procedures by shadowing initiatives related to regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Build skills in creating clear and impactful presentations by observing and contributing to the preparation of reporting materials

Your team

You'll be working alongside our MRMC US team in Krakow. By working closely with the MRMC US team you will gain exposure to how comprehensive reports are compiled, learning how key model risk metrics and summaries are analysed, synthesised, and effectively presented. You will also have the opportunity to be part of and learn from MRMC US efforts to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of governance and reporting processes, using evolving innovative tools.
In our Internship Program, you will have a chance to acquire and practice your skills and expertise in the context of model risk governance and reporting, using Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, CoPilot and various other tools. You will participate in the automation, digitalization and introduction of visualization and AI tools, thereby learning about regulatory requirements and industry practices for model risk management. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain the practical work experience you'll need to launch your career. It's also a great opportunity to work with and learn from some of our sharpest minds in model risk control. Your paid internship will last 6 months, based on a 40-hour week (maximum).

Your expertise

You should have:
• At least a bachelor's degree in a field relevant to model risk management (e.g. finance, business, computer/data science)
• Evident interest in financial markets (experience is a plus)
• Advanced skills in MS Office applications and SharePoint
• Familiarity with and enthusiasm for learning, developing and using PowerBI and AI tools
• Evident "can-do attitude" (self-motivated, self-directed, creative and solution oriented)
• Adaptable and able to collaborate and communicate across teams, functions, and cultures
• Ability to solve challenging tasks as part of an international team
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Can evidence how experimental and responsible use of AI can improve outcomes and efficiency
