About the Company
Our client is a leading European real estate investment and asset management firm with a strong track record across the European market. The firm manages a diversified portfolio of real estate investments on behalf of institutional and international investors and operates through an established European platform.
As part of the continued development of its Luxembourg operations, the firm is looking to appoint a Financial Controller to join its finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate accounting, tax and financial matters for group entities, investment funds and SPVs
- Support the preparation and coordination of recurring financial and regulatory reporting
- Contribute to quarterly accounting reports, annual financial statements, tax and VAT returns, and regulatory filings
- Review financial reports prepared by external service providers and ensure appropriate controls are implemented
- Coordinate audit processes and act as a key point of contact for external and group auditors
- Manage cash management activities and payment processes
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and coordinate intercompany settlements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting, transfer pricing analysis and consolidation activities
- Work closely with investment and deal teams on financial and controlling matters
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial control and reporting processes
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
- 5–8 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within Real Estate, Private Equity or an investment environment
- Previous experience in a Financial Controller, Fund Controller or similar finance role, preferably in an in-house environment
- Good knowledge of IFRS, INREV and Luxembourg GAAP
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, with a good understanding of tax, VAT and regulatory reporting
- Proven experience with financial reporting, statutory accounts and audit processes
- Good understanding of cash management and intercompany reconciliations
- Fluent in English; knowledge of French is considered an advantage
