You will shape the strategy for our Business Card portfolio and work with a broad network of internal teams and external partners to turn customer insights into differentiated products, services and business outcomes. Strengthen the customer value proposition and competitiveness of the Business Card portfolio and contribute to sustainable portfolio growth. The role identifies growth opportunities through customer, market and data insights, and leads product strategy, service and partner development, and cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Develop product and portfolio strategies and priorities based on customer, market, competitor and usage insights.
- Identify opportunities across new products, value propositions, benefits, services and customer experience; build business cases and drive execution.
- Explore external partners and design, negotiate and deliver partnership models that create customer value and commercial impact.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with Marketing, Sales, Digital, Operations, Finance, Risk and Compliance, Technology and other teams.
- Monitor key KPIs and portfolio performance, translate findings into clear implications and actions, and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Address day-to-day product issues and inquiries, identify root causes, and drive sustainable operational improvements.
- Partner with local and global stakeholders, representing Japan market needs while leveraging global insights and capabilities.

Qualifications
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn quantitative and qualitative information into recommendations and action.
- Demonstrated experience moving complex projects forward by aligning multiple stakeholders and managing priorities in an evolving environment.
- A customer-first and commercially minded approach, with a strong sense of ownership for results.
- Excellent communication skills in Japanese, plus the willingness and practical foundation to collaborate with global stakeholders in English.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and executive-ready communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following: product management, marketing, business planning, business development, strategy or consulting.
- Experience in financial services, payments, cards, FinTech, SaaS, platforms or B2B services.
- Knowledge of product economics, unit economics, P&L, pricing or portfolio management.
- Experience in alliances, partnerships, commercial negotiations or joint propositions.
- Experience improving products or services through customer research, data analysis, experimentation or KPI design.
- Experience conducting meetings, presentations or written communication in English.
