The Opportunity
The Operational Risk Manager for will report to the Head of Risk for MIM Ireland, who reports into the Chief Risk Officer for MetLife Investment Management ("MIM"), the asset management business of MetLife. MIM Risk is an independent function embedded in MIM that identifies, monitors and oversees financial and non-financial risks related to institutional client accounts and funds across the MIM platform.
The role will include holding the regulatory responsibility of the Central Bank of Ireland ("CBI") PCF 39B - Designated Person for Operational Risk Management and will be responsible for leading the risk program for MIM Ireland. The successful candidate will ensure that adequate risk management systems, reports and procedures are in place to effectively identify, monitor and manage risks relating to the management of MIM Ireland and its client accounts and funds in accordance with the various requirements of the CBI, CSSF, AIFMD, UCITS, MiFID and any other relevant authority.
The Senior Risk Officer will need to offer credible challenge, escalation of issues and reporting, as appropriate, working closely with the Investments team and functional peers in Risk, Legal, and Internal Audit throughout the US, Europe and Asia to implement controls and guidelines while ensuring compliance with global and regional policies, procedures and standards, laws, rules, and regulations.

The expected salary range for this position is € 68500 - € 91300 . This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.

Key Responsibilities
- Support a strong risk culture and promote awareness of operational risk responsibilities across the organization.
- Perform the role of DP Operational Risk in accordance with the Central Bank of Ireland's CP86 requirements
- Lead and participate in operational risk assessments globally, as required.
- Assist with the review and enhancement of the operational risk management framework in line with regulatory requirements and MIM Risk and MetLife Enterprise standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years' experience in asset management, preferable with Risk Management experience including UCITS management companies and AIFMs.
- Strong knowledge of CBI, CSSF, FCA and EMEA regulatory risk frameworks.
- Experience overseeing outsourced activities and delegates.
- Experience driving operational excellence within the Risk function using AI-enabled solutions, automation and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience reporting to Boards and senior governance committees.
- Prior experience or exposure working alongside as a CP86 Designated Person.
- Professional qualifications in Risk Management, Compliance, or Financial Services related discipline.
- Exposure working alongside the CBI.
