Our client is a well-established organisation currently investing in strengthening its digital enablement, IT vendor management, and commercial governance capabilities. As part of this initiative, they are looking for a Senior Specialist to support the management of technology suppliers, software contracts, and OPEX portfolios across enterprise applications, cloud services, and SaaS/PaaS solutions. This role will work closely with internal business users, technology teams, procurement, and external vendors to support contract governance, supplier performance management, commercial negotiations, and data-driven decision-making.

Your new role

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and support the evaluation of suitable digital solutions and technology services.
• Manage and monitor the organisation's technology OPEX portfolio, providing visibility into spending, contract commitments, and upcoming renewals.
• Manage the relationship with technology vendors and service providers to ensure contractual obligations and service expectations are met.
• Review vendor proposals, licensing arrangements, SLAs, and commercial terms to support procurement and renewal decisions.
• Support software and technology contract renewals, including pricing discussions, commercial negotiations, and vendor engagement activities.
• Analyse supplier spend, software utilisation, subscription consumption, and contract performance to identify optimisation opportunities.
• Develop and maintain supplier dashboards, KPIs, and reporting metrics to track vendor performance, contract status, cost efficiency, and service quality.
• Leverage data analytics and AI-driven insights to identify spending trends, supplier risks, renewal priorities, and optimisation opportunities.
• Maintain an inventory of software, SaaS/PaaS or cloud service subscriptions, vendor agreements, contract milestones, and renewal schedules.
• Support supplier governance activities, vendor reviews, audits, and compliance initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to the IT vendor management framework, processes, reporting capabilities, and commercial governance.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Information Technology, Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 4+ of experience within vendor management, IT service management, PMO, technology procurement, contract management, software licensing, commercial management, or related disciplines.
  • Experience managing budgets, OPEX portfolios, technology spending analysis, or vendor cost optimisation initiatives would be advantageous.
• Experience managing technology vendors, contract renewals, supplier performance reviews, and commercial negotiations.
• Exposure to enterprise applications, cloud platforms, SaaS/PaaS solutions, and software subscription models.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using dashboards, reporting tools, AI, Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms for performance monitoring and decision support.
• Good understanding of supplier KPIs, SLA management, vendor governance, and contract lifecycle management.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
• Proficient in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
• Currently based in Hong Kong with valid work authorization.
• Professional certifications such as ITIL or related certifications would be advantageous.
