Job Responsibilities
• Lead US equity and index options strategy research, focusing on listed options, implied/realized volatility, skew, term structure, liquidity, open interest and positioning.
• Translate views on US equities, sectors, macro catalysts and earnings events into actionable options trade ideas, including covered calls, protective puts, collars, spreads, straddles/strangles, calendars and risk reversals.
• Develop trade recommendations with clear thesis, structure, entry/exit levels, payoff profile, Greeks exposure, downside risk, margin/liquidity considerations and expected holding period.
• Provide options strategies for high-net-worth and institutional clients through research reports, face-to-face meetings, conference calls and roadshows.
• Monitor market catalysts, sector rotation, single-stock events, index moves and volatility regimes to identify hedging, income and convexity opportunities.
• Use Bloomberg, Excel and AI-enabled tools to screen, analyze and present option ideas, and continuously improve strategy templates and client materials.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering or related subjects.
• SFC qualifications required; CFA, CQF or options/derivatives-related credentials preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in US equity options research, options strategy, derivatives trading or secondary-market investment advisory.
• Strong understanding of option pricing, Greeks, volatility, skew, term structure, multi-leg structures, risk management and US listed-options market conventions.
• Able to communicate complex options strategies clearly and engage with high-net-worth clients to provide actionable investment ideas.
• Fluent in Putonghua and English; Cantonese is a plus.
• Proficient in Bloomberg, PowerPoint and Excel; Screening with options analytics, screening tools or basic scripting is an advantage.
