A well-established and reputable investment bank is seeking an experienced DCM Coverage Senior Banker to lead and drive Debt Capital Markets origination across the ASEAN region. Based in Singapore, the candidate will build and maintain C-suite relationships with regional corporates, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and financial institutions, delivering cross-border debt financing solutions—including G3/local currency bonds, green/sustainability-linked bonds, and structured debt issuances.
(Note: The successful candidate must hold or meet all regulatory requirements to be registered as an Appointed Representative under MAS for Advising on Corporate Finance.)
Key Responsibilities-
ASEAN Origination & Coverage: Lead coverage efforts for corporates, financial institutions, and sovereign/SOE issuers across key ASEAN markets (e.g., Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam).

Pitching & Mandate Winning: Structure compelling pitches, roadshow presentations, pricing comparisons, and execution proposals tailored to regional clients’ funding requirements.

Deal Execution: Oversee the end-to-end execution of bond issuances, coordinating with syndicate, legal, credit rating agencies, compliance, and settlement teams.

Cross-Border Collaboration: Partner closely with mainland China and regional coverage units to capture outbound Chinese corporate financing needs in ASEAN, as well as inbound ASEAN issuer interest in offshore Chinese/international debt markets.

ESG & Product Innovation: Identify opportunities in green, social, and sustainability-linked bond frameworks aligned with regional sustainability goals.

Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure all origination and pitching activities comply strictly with internal risk frameworks and MAS regulatory standards.

Experience: 7–12+ years of relevant experience in Debt Capital Markets, Investment Banking, or Corporate Finance, with a proven track record of originating and executing DCM transactions in the ASEAN region.

Must be qualified to register as an Appointed Representative under MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) for Advising on Corporate Finance.

Passed CMFAS Module 4A & 4B exams (or hold recognized exemptions) and satisfy MAS "Fit and Proper" guidelines.

Network: Strong existing C-suite and Treasury relationships with ASEAN corporate issuers, financial institutions, or conglomerates.

Product Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of G3 and local currency fixed-income instruments, credit rating methodologies, and bond execution mechanics.

Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required; fluency in Mandarin or an ASEAN local language (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia) is advantageous to support regional cross-border client coverage.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related disciplines (CFA or advanced degree preferred).
