Collateral Operations

The Collateral Operations role involves managing end-to-end processes related to daily margin call cycles within OTC Derivatives, Repo, and Equity Finance. The position supports various functions including notifications, confirmations, and settlements, while ensuring accuracy through portfolio reconciliations and dispute resolution. The role also requires close collaboration with internal teams to establish client desks and address complex client inquiries, alongside supporting control, audit, and risk management functions.

The ideal candidate will have a robust background in collateral management and MTM reporting within financial services. They will possess in-depth knowledge of OTC derivatives, repos, and equity finance, complemented by technical expertise in MS Office and VBA. The role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Key Skills & Experience

• Manage daily margin call cycles, notifications, confirmations, and settlements.
• Conduct portfolio reconciliations, resolve dispute escalations, and monitor abnormal counterparty behaviours.
• Partner with Front Office, Risk, and support teams to set up system contracts and client desks.
• Execute daily operational controls, support Hong Kong trade audit confirmations, and update operational procedures.
• Assist in supervising team workflow, mentoring junior staff, and supporting onboarding and system testing.

Requirements

• Right to work on-site in the location specified.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in financial services, with 6–8 years in collateral management and MTM reporting.
• In-depth knowledge of OTC Derivatives, Repos, and Equity Finance with understanding of trade lifecycle and operational risk.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and VBA.
