AI Product Lead - Financial Services

This role will sit at the intersection of quantitative finance, artificial intelligence, and product development, leading the design and delivery of commercially impactful AI solutions for a sophisticated client base.

Role Overview

• This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for defining, building, and scaling the firm's AI product capabilities. Reporting into senior leadership, you will drive product strategy, architecture, and delivery while ensuring AI initiatives generate measurable commercial value for clients and the business.
• Working closely with Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Client-facing teams, you will take AI solutions from concept through to production deployment and market adoption.
• Key Responsibilities
• Define and execute the company's AI product vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy.
• Lead the design, architecture, and deployment of production-grade AI applications, including generative AI and agent-based solutions.
• Drive the commercial success of AI products through increased user engagement, client adoption, retention, and revenue contribution.
• Establish scalable engineering standards, best practices, and technical frameworks for AI development.
• Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and commercial teams to identify high-value AI opportunities and bring them to market.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, models, and infrastructure to optimise performance, scalability, security, and cost.
• Develop robust monitoring, testing, evaluation, and governance frameworks for AI systems.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership across product and engineering teams as the organisation scales its AI capabilities.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience leading AI, machine learning, or data-driven product initiatives in a commercial environment.
• Strong track record delivering customer-facing AI products from concept to production.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), AI agents, and orchestration frameworks.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-based application development.
• Experience balancing technical decisions with commercial objectives and end-user needs.
• Strong product mindset with experience defining roadmaps, prioritisation frameworks, and success metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale engineering teams or technical functions.
• Familiarity with AI governance, model evaluation, observability, and responsible AI practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working within fast-growing software, fintech, SaaS, or technology-led businesses.
