About the Role:
You are responsible for the Accounting and Reporting activities associated with assigned Reinsurance accounts and/or markets.
This position will also be responsible for developing and monitoring reinsurance completeness and accuracy controls on assigned reinsurance activity and internal and external support needed related to the dedicated clients/markets and responsibilities.
About the Department & Team:
The team manages the operational process for the international reinsurance business, providing accurate and efficient data management of reinsurance accounts, with quality service levels. You will work in partnership with the underwriting function and in collaboration with the other support teams and colleagues in other locations e.g., Cologne and London.
You should be enthusiastic about working on the conception and introduction of efficient and innovative new processes. We are looking for someone with an independent and inquisitive approach, who is attracted by working in an international environment in a role that provides extensive exposure to numerous projects in our digital transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day operational Underwriting & Accounting support in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
- Liaising with clients and providing financial information and advice
- Maintaining accounting records and preparing accounts and management information
- Monitoring credit control functions of Reinsurance Receivable/Payable and related Bank Accounts
- Work collaboratively with other functional areas (Operations, Finance, Claims) and other LSM branch finance teams
- Be responsible for the first line Credit Control processes and reports
- Support and development of the reporting processes, audits, etc.
- Performing test to check financial information and systems
- Work in assigned projects
- Adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements forms part of your role, and the demonstration of behaviours as set out in the Conduct Risk Policy, as they relate to your role, is core to LSM's commitment to our Liberty Values, placing customers at the centre of our business and behaving with integrity. These requirements include the Senior Managers and Certification Regime Conduct Rules ,Solvency II, fair treatment of customers, Financial Crime, Data Protection, Conflicts of Interest, and Whistleblowing.
Skills and Experience:
- P&C insurance industry experience in Reinsurance Accounting or Controlling
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other Business degree preferred
- Knowledge and experience in dealing with Reinsurance Accounting (Treaty & Facultative) and understanding of technical booking and reporting processes
- Strong organizational, analytical and multi-tasking skills necessary to manage multiple deadlines and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate with others, adapt to change and accept challenging assignments
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal (English)
