Role Summary
We seek an experienced Informatica Developer with 6–12 years of experience to design and build data integration solutions for a leading banking client. This hands-on ETL engineering role focuses on payments and transaction data platforms using Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Cloud (IDMC/IICS), supporting real-time and batch transaction flows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using Informatica PowerCenter and/or IDMC/IICS (CDI, CAI)
- Build mappings, transformations, workflows, and reusable components to process high-volume payments and transaction data
- Develop integrations across multiple sources and targets including Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, files, MQ/Kafka, APIs, and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse)
- Support migration of on-premise PowerCenter workloads to Informatica Cloud and modern data platforms
- Design and enhance high-volume payment processing platforms, transaction management systems, and payment orchestration services
- Build and maintain Straight Through Processing (STP) solutions to minimize manual intervention and improve operational efficiency
- Optimize ETL jobs for throughput and batch-window compliance through pushdown optimization, partitioning, and session tuning
- Support scheduling and operations (Control-M/Autosys), monitor batch cycles, and resolve production incidents within SLAs
- Implement data quality rules, validation, reconciliation, and error-handling frameworks
- Prepare technical designs, mapping specifications, and unit test documentation; support SIT/UAT and release cycles
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, DBAs, QA, and business stakeholders in Agile/hybrid delivery environments
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 6–12 years of experience in ETL development and data integration
- Strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter and/or IDMC/IICS
- Working knowledge of banking and payments data platforms
- Experience with payment processing, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation workflows
- Proficiency with multiple database platforms (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server)
Preferred Qualifications
- Informatica certifications (PowerCenter, IDMC/IICS)
- Experience with Informatica Data Quality tools
- Exposure to data lineage and metadata management (EDC/Axon)
- Knowledge of payment messaging standards (ACH, Wire Transfers, SWIFT, ISO 20022)
- Experience with cross-border payment systems.
