What we offer:

• The position is located in Brussels at Euroclear HQ

• You will have a unique opportunity to enter into the world of financial markets and public affairs, working on policy debates related to market infrastructures, technology and the European financial architecture

• You will join a dynamic multinational and multicultural organisation with a strong European and global footprint. The Public Affairs team is responsible for Euroclear's positioning and engagement with policymakers on a range of policy and regulatory debates, liaising with experts from across the organisation

• You will acquire practical experience and be part of the day-to-day work of a dynamic team dealing with European policy workstreams and debates in financial markets

• Paid internship, for 4 to 6 month

• You will be accompanied by a mentor during your internship

What you will do:

• You will assist and provide support to the Public Affairs team, part of the Compliance and Public Affairs Division, on a variety of topics.

• Activities may include: supporting the preparation of briefing notes, presentations and materials, assisting with the monitoring of policy discussions and developments, conducting research and contributing to a variety of tasks in the team.

• Be part of the team's interactions and activities, which provide ample opportunities for development and practical learning.

What we are looking for:

• You have an active student status (Bachelor) or (Master) in one or more of the following areas: Finance, Banking and Financial Law, European politics, International Relations and related subjects. A strong interest in financial markets is essential to make the most of the role. Technology and European politics are also relevant areas in our work.

• You have an excellent level of English, including drafting and communication skills. Knowledge of a second/third language is a plus.

• You are a team player but are also able to work autonomously

• You have strong analytical and research skills

• You are discrete, well organized and stress resistant
