What You Bring
Why This Role Stands Out
This isn't a back-office operations role.
You'll be front and centre with some of the most complex, high-profile international clients in the industry - shaping how they experience our services, influencing their benefit strategies, and ensuring operational excellence at every touchpoint.
If you're energised by the challenge of managing intricate stakeholder landscapes and delivering exceptional outcomes for some of the world's most demanding clients, this is the role for you.
How we hire:
To Recruitment Agencies
Allianz recruits through dedicated in-house teams and does not accept unsolicited resumes/CVs, candidate introductions, or outreach from agencies or search firms. We only engage agencies under a prior, written contract and, where applicable, via our Preferred Supplier List (PSL). No fees will be paid for any candidate submitted or introduced without a contract in place, even if that candidate is subsequently hired. Do not contact hiring managers directly. Any breach, including unsolicited submissions, off-PSL contact, or attempts to invoice without an agreement, will result in candidate disqualification, termination of any existing contract, and non-payment of fees.
Allianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world. Caring for our employees, their ambitions, dreams and challenges, is what makes us a unique employer. Together we can build an environment where everyone feels empowered and has the confidence to explore, to grow and to shape a better future for our customers and the world around us.
At Allianz, we stand for unity: we believe that a united world is a more prosperous world, and we are dedicated to consistently advocating for equal opportunities for all. And the foundation for this is our inclusive workplace, where people and performance both matter, and nurtures a culture grounded in integrity, fairness, inclusion and trust.
We therefore welcome applications regardless of ethnicity or cultural background, age, gender, nationality, religion, social class, disability or sexual orientation, or any other characteristics protected under applicable local laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management

- Present plan performance, service insights, and improvement recommendations to IGO decision-making bodies, staff associations, and retiree groups.
- Consult and influence clients on process optimisation, plan modernisation, and healthcare/insurance trends - acting as a trusted advisor, not just a service provider.

- Own complaints management as the contractually named point of contact.
- Produce and deliver insightful, deadline-driven client reporting that drives informed decision-making.
Operations Leadership
- Lead and develop the Brussels operations team, setting and delivering against quantitative, qualitative, and Voice of Customer targets.
- Act as the key escalation and decision-making authority on complex IGO cases, including refer-before-reject requests.
- Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and SLA performance across IGO and Corporate portfolios.
- Deliver strategic, cross-departmental projects (e.g. client plan modernisation) that enhance the client experience.
- Compile and communicate internal operations reports for top-tier clients.
- Act as Operations matrix/host manager for all Brussels-based Operations staff.
People Leadership
- Provide professional and disciplinary leadership in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
- Coach, develop, and motivate team members; build a strong, resilient team culture.
- Plan and forecast capacity to ensure uninterrupted service delivery at all times.
- Drive engagement and performance aligned with Allianz Engagement Survey goals.
What You Bring
- 5+ years in operations leadership, client management, or a similar role - ideally within international health insurance, employee benefits, or complex B2B services.
- Proven ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders across multi-country, multi-cultural client organisations.
- Experience leading matrixed, geographically dispersed teams with a coaching-first mindset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - comfortable in the boardroom and on the town hall stage.
- Strategic thinker who thrives on process improvement, operational efficiency, and delivering measurable client outcomes.
- Fluent in English (written and oral); French is a strong advantage.
- Autonomous, decisive, and comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Knowledge of international health insurance or employee benefits is a plus.
- Adaptability to digital technologies and data-driven ways of working, including exposure to AI, machine learning, data analytics, and cloud-based tools, while adhering to data governance, security, and ethical standards.
