A well-established organisation within a large operational environment is seeking a Senior Payroll & Compliance Specialist to join their payroll function. This is a critical role responsible for payroll delivery, compliance oversight and payroll systems administration, supporting a large workforce across multiple locations. The organisation is seeking an experienced professional who can hit the ground running and ideally be available on short notice. Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Payroll, you will take ownership of end-to-end payroll operations while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards and enterprise agreements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing end-to-end payroll processing for a large, multi-site workforce.
- Processing complex payrolls involving shift work, overtime, allowances and penalty rates.
- Performing payroll reconciliations, validations and payment runs.
- Managing STP submissions, superannuation, PAYG and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards and payroll-related legislation.
- Maintaining payroll system integrity, master data and reporting.
- Investigating and resolving payroll queries, discrepancies and compliance issues.
- Providing payroll training, mentoring and procedural guidance to payroll team members.
- Partnering with HR and operational stakeholders on payroll and compliance matters.
