This fast-growing Australian fintech has developed a specialist technology platform designed to streamline the mortgage broking process. Built by industry professionals who understand the challenges brokers face every day, the platform helps reduce manual administration, improve efficiency and support better lending outcomes. Having recently launched to market and already gaining strong early traction, the business is entering an exciting growth phase and is now looking for its first dedicated Business Development Manager. Working directly with the Founder, you'll have the opportunity to influence commercial strategy, build key industry partnerships and play a pivotal role in scaling the business nationally.
Your new role
As a BDM, you will be responsible for driving broker adoption, building strategic partnerships and growing market awareness across the mortgage broking industry.
In this role, you will:
- Build and manage relationships with mortgage brokers, broker groups and aggregator networks
- Run product demonstrations and educate brokers on the platform's value proposition
- Use your existing industry relationships to generate new business opportunities and referrals
- Develop strategic partnerships that drive long-term growth and user adoption
- Represent the business at meetings, events, webinars and industry functions
- Experience in a broker-facing BDM, lender BDM, partnership or relationship management role
- Strong understanding of the Australian mortgage broking landscape and aggregator market
- Established relationships across broker, lender or aggregator networks
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial mindset with a proven ability to generate new business opportunities
- Self-motivated approach and ability to thrive in a fast-growing environment
- Ability to confidently demonstrate and articulate the value of a technology solution
- Experience working with mortgage brokers is highly regarded
