An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Intermediate Accountant to join an Adelaide boutique accounting and business advisory firm. With a strong reputation for delivering personalised advice to a diverse range of SME clients, the firm offers a supportive team environment, direct client exposure, and ongoing professional development. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant looking to further develop their technical skills while working closely with experienced senior staff and Partners.
Your new role
As an Intermediate Accountant, you will work with a varied portfolio of business clients across a range of industries. You will be involved in:
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for businesses, companies, trusts and individuals
- BAS, IAS and GST compliance
- Assisting with tax planning and business advisory engagements
- Liaising directly with clients and building strong relationships
- Supporting senior team members with client management responsibilities
- Maintaining compliance with relevant accounting and taxation requirements
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- 2+ years' experience within an Australian public practice accounting firm
- Strong understanding of business services and taxation compliance
- Progress towards or intention to undertake CA or CPA studies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
- A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to develop your career in public practice
