Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, operational, credit, pension, insurance, compliance, regulatory, market, reputation and geopolitical risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Treasury Credit Risk Manager.
  • Act as a deputy to Senior Treasury Credit Risk Manager.
  • Performing market risk control and traded credit risk / counterparty credit risk control management function for risk arising from Global Markets activities. Monitoring portfolio from a market risk and traded credit risk / counterparty risk perspective and identifying/escalating issues/trends to Senior Management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of market risk positions, all risks are correctly captured in a timely manner in accordance with Group policy. Implementation of market risk practices and appropriate policy for new business and developments.
  • Assist in the preparation New Product Proposals.
  • Implementation of changes in risk metrics are effectively reported to stakeholders and senior management;
  • Preparation of Risk Management Reporting for Risk Management Committee and Senior Management Risk forum.
  • Assisting with the roll out of new risk systems, including testing of risk exposures.
  • Providing support to other key local stakeholders where applicable.
  • Participant in Group / Regional/ Local Global Markets system related projects / implementation.
  • Providing support to other key local stakeholders where applicable.

  • Graduate degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field;
  • 2-5 years of experience in the management of market risk and traded credit risk.
  • Individual should be able to apply a substantial degree of initiative and lateral thinking in order to develop solutions.
  • Able to function independently with minimal supervision.
  • Individual must be able to thrive in the face of constant change
  • Able to operate under increased awareness whilst facing complex matters related to work
Due to the urgent hiring need, candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation needed will be prioritised.
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
