Solution Architect
  • Possess a high level of technical literacy, so as to determine how a software solution fits into CIMB's existing application architecture
  • Possess a high level of analytical skill in order to examine a platform partner's current systems and applications and then determine overall project integration needs and scope
  • Be excellent problem-solvers, able to quickly change direction based on updated platform partner software specifications or system limitations at the partner side or CIMB side
  • Design the overall technological architecture of the digital product
  • Responsible for the technical design of the digital product
  • Guide project teams on technology strategy
  • Mentor and coach the technical team, specifically with code reviews
  • Hands on and engage in coding to help the team to develop the solution and solve all surfacing problems at hand
  • Identify and remove technical impediments
  • Work with Digital Product Owner to align the roadmap with strengths and opportunities within the technical stack
  • Constantly look for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution, not afraid of challenging the status quo
  • Provide the team a roadmap for implementing software engineering practices for higher code quality
  • Share responsibility with Digital Product Owner for building reusable and scalable components


Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of data engineering, data science, or software engineering experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of Front-End and back-end software engineering (ie. experience as a full stack engineer)
  • Demonstrate ability to manage and lead other developers
  • Understanding of data architecture and Platform as a Service (PaaS)
  • 5 years of experience in a digital banking or transformation role in established bank financial institutions (optional)
