Senior Data Analyst / Technical Business Analyst

Job Summary:

• Participate/lead in the data governance group that is accountable for data ownership, data dictionary and business glossary
• Define data definitions m business rules and data quality rules includes master data and reference data management
• Review and endorse data architecture including data models, define and monitor data access privacy and compliance monitor data quality issues reports and assign actions
• Act as liaison between Business and Functional areas and Technology to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritisation and planning
• Address data governance issues by creating step by step processes to create solutions initiate and embed changes in the way data is used and maintained and implement a sustainable quality assurance process and procedure as well as addressing current governance framework and its practicality
• Collaborate with leadership across the business to understand business data needs and ensure the Governance function provides the appropriate involvement and engagement
• Ensure effective process are in place to manager IT change requires and initiatives which ensure changes are implemented in as timely fashion and the business is engaged
• Commerce and support initiatives, change and business requires in consultation with IT and the Business

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications is a relevant discipline and industry accreditations where necessary
• Experience as a data analyst ideally within a highly regulated related industry
• Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency within IT systems, software databases, reporting, communication and analytical tools
• Experience with writing & understanding SQL and related queries
• Experience in Operational improvement system methodology and delivery
• Knowledge of business reporting framework
• Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to establish strong professional relationship and influence outcomes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all level with clarity impact and influence
• Ability to plan and priorities effectively organise tasks and manage completing resources and demands
