Head of Operations and Settlements

Role:

• Formulate and align business operational strategy with others in the executive team.
• Design policies that align with overall strategy.
• Implement efficient processes and standards.
• Mentor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagement.
• Ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations department.
• Report on operational performance and suggest improvements.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Have about 8 years of experience in operations, settlements, clearing and custody for a brokerage firm that has equities trading.
• At least 5 years in a management capacity in a broker-dealer, or equivalent.
• Has been in a senior role for at least 2 years in a broker-dealer, or equivalent.
• Possess knowledge of Securities Commission and Bursa Malaysia requirements.
• Knowledge on foreign products, especially U.S. will be highly advantageous.
• Must possess Modules 6 and 7 or 6 and 18 or 7 and 17 or 17 and 18 of the SCLE.
• Ability to communicate in Chinese will be a plus, as the developers are based in China, frequent communication with them is expected.
