We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Amanah Takaful team in the role of Assistant Manager Actuarial Modelling & Project Unit, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Principal responsibilities
· To develop, review and enhance the model for the following Actuarial functions in both family and general Takaful businesses:
o Financial reporting (in-force products) for both statutory and regional requirements
o Product pricing (new or re-priced products)
o Product illustration
o Retakaful arrangement
o Surplus calculation
o Experience analysis
o Generalized linear model ("GLM")
· To improve the model management processes e.g. documentation of model, data control, tables control, check and balances
· To support the Actuarial and Risk Functions on a project by project basis.
· Ensure the model has complied with all regulatory as well as IFIM requirements within the timeline
· Ensure the model for new products can be completed within timeline
· Ensure best practices are adopted for control and documentation


  • Degree Holder in Actuarial Science
  • Requires sound actuarial knowledge as well as experiences in order to ensure the accuracy of models developed
  • Required a good working knowledge of Prophet
  • Prior relevant experience in Takaful an added advantage
  • Good analytical skills
