SAP Pre-sales Solution Architect
Job Description:
Lead for Proposal crafting & response E2E
  • Strategy / Roadmap Development / Win Theme crafting
  • Alternate solution comparison, crafting business benefits for clients, assess and guide for Industry specific SAP solutions benefits
  • Identify niche partners for Industry specific solutions
  • Guide and prepare Solution and Cost Development, Integration across multiple offerings and overall solution management
  • Solution Presentation to client (Orals), Due Diligence & BAFO
  • Good understanding on transition solution and ability to lead program as incubation SAP lead Architect

Work closely with sales teams, pursuit leaders, bid manager, internal governance and other bid team members (SMEs) globally to create an integrated 'winning' solution, leveraging DXC's offerings and capabilities.

Directs other Solution Architects/SMEs for their contribution and assistance towards the solution creation and meeting time-lines.

Lead team member for the technical & pricing solution and ensures that the solution embodies DXC win themes and differentiators and meets the client's needs and requirements in both the current and future states

Solution Design and Development
  • Shapes, interprets and helps define client requirements to ensure they address business goals
  • Redefines services, service level agreement and other requirements based on client objectives.
  • Integrates additional services, approaches that add value, improving Total Cost of Ownership and/or business case
  • Allocates allowable cost targets for solutions. Captures and highlights risks and any associated costs
  • Creates innovative delivery approaches to meet real client needs
  • Applies top-down or yellow pad tool estimates where appropriate in deal cycle. Validates against client base and business case. Provides feedback and ownership for cost issues
  • Models major components of multiple towers. Optimizes solution through balancing cross-tower interactions. Optimizes overall
  • Works with deal governance & review stakeholders to work the opportunity for solution, cost and delivery approvals

Client Evaluation phase:
  • Presents the technical solution to senior client executives in formal presentations, leading the question & answer sessions and leading during client visits.
  • Confidently articulates all aspects of solution and persuasively communicates value to the client. Influences client evaluation criteria and decision making.
  • Lead / participate in due diligence & BAFO exercises

After a win:
  • Provide assistance to the account team to understand the solution, and any other clarifications they may require to deliver the solution
  • Engage with legal, sales, account teams in development of SOWs

Key Skill Requirements
  • Must have total experience of 10+ years overall IT experience including in SAP Solutioning /pre-sales support (7+ years) and SAP Delivery/implementations
  • Must have worked End-to-End on pursuits/deals from Global & Asia Regional clients.
  • Must have good knowledge to work on solutions in the areas of
  • Implementation & Upgrades - Implementation of SAP S4/HANA and exposure to cloud products such Ariba, Hybris, Concur etc and Upgrade from SAP ECC to S4/HANA
  • Transformation & Migration - Transformation and migration of SAP to public/private AWS / MS Azure cloud platform
  • Applications Management - Apps maintenance, support, managed services, As a service propositions, tools & automation etc
  • Costing and Pricing using cost & price models
  • Must have played key / leading / owner role in RFP / RFI response activities and proactive opportunity pursuits for at least 4 - 5 years
  • Expertise in one to two industry verticals, preferably Logistics & Supply chain
  • Strong past experience for SAP modules implementation. Preferred MM,SD,PP,PM,WM,QM
