Job Description

As an analyst, you will perform on a daily basis numerous middle office function (trade validation, enrichment and confirmation, reconciliations, life cycle management) in a timely manner. You will be expected to perform your job effectively, while maintaining a strong awareness of operation risk and control. Furthermore, you will also be involved in process improvement initiatives that bring about greater efficiency or aim to mitigate operation risks.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Reconcile & validate trader's bookings (including but not limited to Stocks, FX, listed and OTC Equity Derivatives, Funding & Equity related instruments) and advise FO in case of discrepancy with documentation
  • Be a middle person between business (Sales, Traders) and support/control groups. Liaise with Front Office for queries from Operations, Product Control, Compliance, Credit Risk, Market Risk, etc.
  • Manage trade life cycle events, including coupon fixings, expiries, novation, partial termination, etc.
  • Monitor and process corporate actions, and reflect events accurately in risk platform
  • Participate in activities that improve existing workflows
  • Generate and monitor MO reports on trade activity, static data and other control metrics

Qualifications and Skills

  • Recognized Degree in Finance / Business / Banking
  • Relevant experience in Banking / Financial Institutes
  • Financially numerate with good Excel and PC skills
  • Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines and time pressure
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Pro-active and self-directed interest in developments in Financial Markets is viewed positively
